Jacques Duits started his advertising agency in 1910 at the age of 26. With the slogan ‘Projection and advertising from Duits alone, helps you through the crisis’ he built a well-known agency in the region. Jacques died in 1967 ‘still in harness’.
In the meantime, the office was renamed to D.U.I.T.S. Advertising & Marketing and internationalisation was in full swing. To help our customers outside The Netherlands, D.U.I.T.S. got together with other independent European agencies to form the CommWorld marketing communications network.
In 2007, D.U.I.T.S. was renamed COOKS. The underlying idea was to create a distinctive profile based on the philosophy “That which makes a restaurant a top restaurant also makes an agency a top agency.”
Based on the belief that the best commercial result will be achieved when the efforts of marketing, trade marketing, sales and retailers fit together, COOKS developed the CrossOver approach.
In June 2014, our great ambition was achieved and COOKS moved to a beautiful old merchant’s house in the picturesque historic centre of Dordrecht. We can now proudly say that we offer our unique service from a unique place!
COOKS has perfected the CrossOver approach, leading to our unique proposition for marketing, trade marketing and sales. More and more clients are coming to us, which has lead to considerable growth for the agency.
